Description of the service

Tabs is a personal finance tracking tool that helps you record and estimate:

• Debts (loans, credit cards, etc.) and their projected payoff timeline based on the interest rate, term, and payments you enter
• Investments, savings, and other assets, along with their return on investment
• Your overall net worth over time, calculated from the figures you enter

All calculations are performed locally on your device, based entirely on the data you provide.

Not financial advice

• Payoff dates, interest projections, and "what-if" scenarios are estimates based solely on the numbers you enter. They assume steady, uninterrupted behavior (e.g. consistent payments) and do not account for real-world changes such as rate adjustments, fees, market volatility, or missed payments unless you update your entries accordingly.
• Currency conversions use live exchange rates that fluctuate and may not exactly match the rate you receive from your bank or broker.
• You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any figures you enter and for any financial decisions you make. Consult a qualified financial professional before making significant financial decisions.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor or with a shared household device, you are responsible for ensuring appropriate use.

License to use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Your data

All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you enter
• Backing up your data if desired (e.g. via the App's CSV export feature)
• Any consequences of losing your data if you uninstall the App, lose your device, or otherwise lose access to it, since we do not maintain a copy

In-app purchases

Tabs offers an optional one-time purchase ("Tabs Pro") that unlocks additional features. This is a single, non-recurring payment — there is no subscription and no recurring charge.

• Purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies. We do not process payments ourselves and cannot directly issue refunds — refund requests must go through Apple or Google.
• Features included in the free tier and in Tabs Pro may change over time as the App evolves, but any purchase you've already made will continue to unlock the Pro features active at the time of your purchase.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any systems related to the App

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be accurate for your specific financial situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RIP Wallet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or financial loss, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, including any financial decisions made based on information calculated or displayed by the App.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the App, or any features within it, at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
